This is a liquid counter designed as a substandard for the measurement of isotopes with β-energies above 0.4MeV. It consists of a thin-walled counter tube inside an outer tube which can be filled with approx 10ml of liquid. The central terminal is the anode and the terminal to the side is the cathode.
