CV2321 gas filled voltage stabiliser or reference tube. It measures 35x15mm, and contains two identical elements inside consisting of a loop at the end of a wire. The wire is encased in glass.

It is a special quality version of the GD86, tested for striking voltage in both light and dark conditions, and for voltage stability versus current.

Max striking voltage in total darkness (a)165V
Max striking voltage in normal laboratory illumination (1)125V
Normal stabilised voltage86V
Recommended operating current0.4 to 1.0mA
Max change of stabilised voltage with variation of current from 0.4 to 1.0mA3.3V
Max current required to keep valve struck50µA
Insulation resistance of unstruck valve500MΩ
