Figures Specification and serial number. For rectifiers the 1st 2 digits are the function of peak current and PIV; for valves 'A' (<10W) all digits are serial number; cooled valves (J and Q) it is a function of peak current and max anode voltage; for valves other than A the 1st 2 digits are the anode dissipation * the range, thus a C valve with 80 = 800W; Thermocouples: digits are the max saft heater current.
