CV294 S-band pre-TR cell

The device measures 72x5mm (11mm across the 'head'); the active section is 42mm long.

The CV294 used a dumb-bell resonant slot which was cut into a metal plate. The device itself is a thin-walled glass tube filled with argon and glass beads. With a shorted quarter-wavelength of waveguide at the rear, the CV294 could also act as a TB cell.
