CV999 transmitting triode

This valve measures 121x42mm overall and has an octal base with 6 pins fitted

This is a transmitting triode capable of 125W at 1.4GHz. 6.3V/2A heater. As 3C22 it was used in the AN/APT-5 radar jamming transmitter. Interestingly this was used as the local oscillator in equipment used to discover the 21cm interstellar hydrogen line in 1951. Thanks to Jan Heering for this information. Further information required.
